Kit of Russian fighter aircraft Mikoyan-Gurevich MIG-29 in camouflage of legendary pilot " The Ghost of Kiev" of Ukrainian army. Assembled model has adjustable control surfaces and opening cockpit cover with pilot. The model can stand on its own chassis or on a stand with a label in Ukrainian colors.

  • The MIG-29 from the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau first flew from Nizhnenovgorod corporate airport on October 6, 1977.
  • The fighter was developed as a counterweight to the American F-15 Eagle and F/A-18 Hornet machines and its production is still underway today.
  • An interesting feature of the MIG-29 is undoubtedly the shape of the fuselage, which contributes up to 40% of the total buoyancy.
  • At the time of its creation, it was a competitor that was exported to most of the former Warsaw Pact countries and thus also to Ukraine.
  • In Russia's ongoing unprovoked and criminal war against Ukraine, the MIG-29 pilot Vladimir Abdonov's MIG-29 appeared in the skies over Kiev in the first days of fighting, shooting down 6 Russian aircraft on February 24, 2022, and 8 more in the following days.
  • If the identity of V. Abdonov is real is not certain. We have to wait until the end of the war in Ukraine to confirm the real identity of the "Ghost of Kyiv" with regard to the safety of the pilot. Hopefully it will be as soon as possible.
  • The photo of GoK that we bring you was taken by the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
