Wrathgate continues the fourth year of the award-winning World of Warcraft TCG with all-new content, including Argent Crusade reputation and cards depicting the epic Battle of the Wrathgate, like Saurfang and Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, and a new master hero, Highlord Tyrion Fordring, a new cycle of alternate cost allies that continue the "class matters" theme from Scourgewar, and three new randomly inserted Loot cards, including a new mount loot - "The Flaming Hippogryph" as well as "Landro’s Gift" and "Statue Generato".
Each Wrathgate Booster Pack contains 19 cards and the expansion features 220 cards from Northrend and the new Argent Crusade faction. Players can use new Wrathgate crafting materials to forge new gear for their WoW TCG heroes as well as recruit figures from Warcraft lore such as Highlord Tirion Fordring for battle against the Scourge.
