The Players Guide to Ptolus is a teaser product designed to get players interested in Ptolus, Monte Cook's City by the Spire coming out in August. In Monte's words, "All the material in this guide represents common knowledge available to city residents or visitors to Ptolus. Every player should have a copy of this guide to learn about the place and get a good feel for the setting. The Players Guide is required reading for a player creating a character for the Ptolus campaign."

Ptolus, Monte Cook's City by the Spire is due out in August and more information for it will be coming this week. It is a D20 3.5 city campaign setting. Think World's Largest Dungeon, but its a city book with a complete campaign, full color, jam-packed CD ROM, and just HUGE. The Players Guide to Ptolus is designed to lead players and DMs alike down the dark path towards buying this monster of a book. Its all part of Monte's master plan to rule the world. Mu-ha-ha!
